Senior ETL Tester

Responsibilities:

• Conduct ETL testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data transformations and migrations
• Analyze and validate complex data structures and business processes, ensuring data integrity across systems
• Write and execute detailed test scenarios, ensuring coverage across all relevant test phases in data migration projects
• Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools such as JIRA and qTest
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user stories, business requirements, and technical specifications
• Utilize SQL to perform advanced queries for record validation, data truncation checks, and integrity analysis
• Participate in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) activities, including creating and modifying pipelines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role focused on ETL testing, data validation, and database testing
• Solid understanding of testing theory, e.g., ISTQB certification or equivalent knowledge
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database testing, with the ability to write advanced queries
• Intermediate-level knowledge of object-oriented programming in C# (basic level with a willingness to learn also considered)
• Openness to perform both manual and automated testing
• Analytical skills to comprehend the logic behind complex user stories
• Experience with ETL testing processes and tools, including quality validations and checks
• Ability to differentiate between ETL testing and functional testing
• Familiarity with database objects, relational data models, and database design principles

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience working in Scrum teams
• Prior exposure to test scenario writing and execution
• Knowledge of data analysis and business process understanding
• Experience with ensuring quality coverage in large-scale data migration projects
