Market Risk Reporting Lead Analyst (Equities Team)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute equities risk content across various reporting cycles, monitoring significant trends and collaborating with the 1st and 2nd lines of defense to ensure accurate representation of the firm’s equity market risk
• Perform portfolio analysis using key risk measurement techniques, including Value at Risk (VaR), Expected Shortfall (ESF), factor sensitivities, issuer risk monitoring, and stress testing
• Work closely with risk managers to identify emerging risks and trends within the equities portfolio
• Support risk transformation initiatives, such as analyzing equities data flows and assisting in the design and implementation of global equities dashboards
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk reporting requirements
• Maintain a robust control environment for all production deliverables by implementing automated controls for data validation
• Identify and manage data quality issues, ensuring proper classification and oversight in collaboration with risk teams and technology
• Assist in the development and automation of risk reporting processes using Tableau and Python

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Risk or Finance within a large financial institution
• A BS or BA in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of market risk metrics and financial products within the equities space
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Tableau (required) and Python (highly desirable)
• Very good command of English (oral and written)
• Experience with data manipulation and industry-standard data pipeline tools is a plus
• Master’s degree or financial certification (FRM/CFA) is an advantage - nice to have
