Database Developer for MDM

Responsibilities:

• Enhance business ownership for data by involving business areas in the work
• Establish a single trusted source for Master & Reference data, consolidating relevant data from multiple domains and sources
• Eliminate alternative data sources by capturing key business needs
• Create product visions describing the target state for the data in the new source
• Develop robust but flexible business data models for each data area and harmonize the data
• Establish data governance and implement a data governance recipe for the new data source
• Set up data quality assurance for the new data source
• Establish data life cycle management for the new data source
• Simplify and automate related end-to-end business processes together with business areas
• Expose data to consumers via standard API/Kafka interface
• Retire irrelevant data and find a new home for data not under MDM team responsibility in the future
• Prepare for decommissioning of legacy Master and Reference data system MDN

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge in relational database management systems (RDBMS), preferably SQL and Oracle
• Good understanding of data and its use within an organization
• Strong database knowledge (SQL and Oracle)
• Understanding of data management as a discipline
• Ability to quickly grasp and understand complex concepts, with a broader perspective and the ability to translate that into development items
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, delivering on milestones in an agile setting
• Very good command of English (oral and written)
• Experience in various tool configurations (beneficial)
• Basic understanding of Apache Kafka as a distribution channel (beneficial)
• Basic understanding of application programming interfaces (API) (beneficial)
• Good knowledge in relational database management systems (RDBMS)
