Test Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Test Manager responsibilities span the entire delivery lifecycle, from Pre-PI planning events through to Deployment
  • Delivery accountability for all planning and execution of the following test phases – USAT, Test Migrations/SIT, Trial Conversions and NFT Testing
  • Responsible for the defect management process within the block and facilitates defect triage meetings
  • Collaborates with other stakeholders, surrounding domains, and teams inside and outside the program to secure test support, agree joint test plan and schedule (Legacy teams, Solution Delivery, etc.)
  • Create and maintain the required QA documentation for the block as defined by the Nordea Test Strategy (includes Release Test Report (RTR) before Go Live events)
  • Responsible for continuous updates to testing schedule working with environment owners and other team members
  • Contribute to weekly block leadership governance meetings including checkpoints, status meetings, etc.
  • Responsible for preparation of fortnightly testing status
  • Coach testers on testing methodology, processes, governance, and best practices
  • Responsible for adhering to data usage guidelines for any testing on production data
  • Focus on continuous improvements including ensuring test automation is part of the team’s work
  • People management of the testers within the block including cross skilling between team members, reducing any single points of failure and ensuring backup coverage
  • Responsible for filling open tester roles and escalating any capacity constraints to Head of Delivery
  • Responsible for any testing related work-management tools and dashboards such as JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of related work experience in large-scale transformation programs in the areas of Core Banking or Financial Services industry
  • 10+ years of experience in Test leadership roles
  • 5+ years of experience with Data Migration
  • Preferably, 5+ years experience with Core Banking software such as Temenos or SAP
  • Good English skills
  • Self organizing and self-driven
  • Strong facilitation skills and decision making
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Skillful communicator
  • Professional coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to manage and escalate risks, dependencies and issues
  • Proficient in the planning of long term work (>1 year out)
  • Able to work with architects, product managers, product owners, technology and test leads as well as leadership executives
  • Communicate and influence at all levels of the organization and communicate complex topics and recommendations in a clear and understandable way for a wide variety of stakeholders (English)
