Mid Developer

Responsibilities:

• Migrating functionality from the older UI to the newer one
• Bridging of the technical foundations of the two UIs
• Adoption of more modern programmatic features JSON for data input and a clean REST interface
• Extension of the UI and data model to support the materials science and botanical science ORD projects, and similar ones that will be approved at future dates

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years professional experience writing code in Java and a good working knowledge in recent Java
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience writing code in JavaScript and a good working knowledge in recent Javascript
• Professional experience working with PostgreSQL or another modern Relational Database System and a good working knowledge with SQL
• Good working knowledge of Python
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience working with or on research data management applications (as developer or expert user) and a good working knowedge in research data management
• Sufficient knowledge of the current openBIS codebase to be familiar with the main components, overall architecture, high level classes, APIs and code entry points
• English level: B2, C1
