Java Solution Architect

Responsibilities:

• Setting standards in scope of the design, development, quality and testing of the projects
• Designing the system architecture and effectively communicate it to the rest of the team and the client stakeholders
• Transfering business, users and technical needs into an architecture design. Elliciting and analysing requirements
• Mapping business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, system features and identifying options for potential solutions. Selecting and evaluating technologies
• Analysing existing systems and designing interoperability and interfaces with other systems. Optimising the system from performance, security and quality points of view
• Maintaining and tracking the architecture during the systems lifecycle
• Estimating the size of the software development works, leading the development teams and development processes
• Collecting and interpreting system metrics
• Contributing to the systems design, testing, quality assurance and change management
• Preparing the system documentation and providing presentations for client stakeholders

Requirements:

• Has high communication skills in English (in reading and in writing, minimum C1, as English is the working language)
• Is an expert in software development methodologies, lifecycles and artefacts (in particular in Agile methodologies)
• Has advanced knowledge of UML and systems modelling tools (Enterprise Architect). Ability to document effectively
• Has excellent technical knowledge in some of the following: databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server), application servers (JBoss), communication middleware, web servers, systems integration, directory services (AD, LDAP), systems security on Microsoft platforms
• Is an expert in planning capacity and security of the systems
• Is an expert in designing enterprise-level software systems
• Is an expert in systems architecting in the Java domain
• Has second cycle higher education degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering would be a plus
• Knowledge of business intelligence, and Integrated Development, GIS services (WMS, ArcGIS) will be a plus
• Integrated Development Environments(IntelliJ IDEA)
