IT Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with managers and end-users to define business goals, systems requirements, and the system roadmap
• Transfer business, users, and technical needs (including non-functional and security requirements) into specifications (in the form of user stories) directly usable by the development team
• Analyse available systems and identify options for potential solutions
• Contribute to systems design, prototyping, testing, quality assurance, and change management
• Create systems models, diagrams, and charts (Business Cases, BPMN, UML) to provide directions to system developers & engineers
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for potential system upgrades to support hardware and license purchase decisions
• Assist in the deployment, customization and post-implementation troubleshooting of new systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Business Studies, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering (computer/telecommunications)
• Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience in business analysis, system analysis, or system development for software systemsCBAP/IIBA business analysis certifications or equivalent
• Experience in participating in the complete lifecycle of at least 4 enterprise-level software solutions as system or business analyst
• Highly proficient technical writing capabilities for process documentation and reports, and in translating data into actionable items
• Proven capabilities in the field of system business and system analysis, and in project and user-testing management
• Proficiency in the usage of Enterprise Architect or similar software packages
• Teamwork experience in developing software, preferably with Agile methodology
• Personal Security Clearance at EU-CONFIDENTIAL level or above
• Master degree or PhD
• Knowledge of Microsoft/JEE systems and architectures
• Knowledge about the border management and border surveillance domains
