Desktop Support

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site (“hands and feet”) support for all end-user devices including laptops, desktops, printers, and video conferencing systems.
  • Deliver Level 1 (L1) support for plant-based and manufacturing devices such as biometric systems, servers, network devices, HMIs, and related equipment
  • Perform basic support tasks for non-network systems and applications, such as password resets and user account assistance
  • Manage and support end-user devices, engineering workstations, servers, and network-related hardware
  • Maintain up-to-date records of IT assets and support asset lifecycle management
  • Execute monthly data backups for non-networked systems
  • Ensure strict compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), validation and qualification processes, and quality management system (QMS) protocols
  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and assist with administrative and project-related tasks

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a pharmaceutical or GxP-regulated environment
  • Solid understanding of desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and peripheral setup
  • Basic networking knowledge and experience supporting network-connected devices
  • Familiarity with backup solutions (Commvault or similar) and routine backup operations
  • Experience with Active Directory and user account management
  • Previous involvement in SOP adherence, system validation, or QMS procedures is highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond effectively to incidents
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Pharmaceutical IT experience is mandatory; prior work in a pharma manufacturing setting is a strong advantage
  • Willingness to provide on-call support outside of business hours for critical issues
