Banking Financial Approver

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record financial transactions for legal and regulatory reporting, while conducting reviews of financial disclosures and variance analysis commentaries
• Manage ongoing communication and conduct P&L/B/S reviews with business partners and key stakeholders, directly influencing leadership through responsibility for delivering end results that drive business solutions
• Lead initiatives to improve control infrastructure, including reducing adjustments, driving data quality improvements, and eliminating EUCs, while ensuring adherence to Manager Control Assessment policies and procedures
• Identify and drive opportunities for Finance synergies to increase efficiency and productivity
• Participate in or lead ad-hoc projects, including streamlining or retiring existing systems and assisting in the implementation of new systems
• Collaborate with various Finance teams, liaising with the Trading Desk, Risk Management, Operations, Middle Office, and IT teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution
• Escalate issues in a timely manner, focusing on recurring problems and leading enhancement projects and system fixes
• Support standardization efforts and contribute to strategic and ad-hoc projects aimed at improving Product Control systems and processes
• Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, while maintaining a high level of organization, attention to detail, and independent work style
• Use your experience and knowledge to drive exceptional team performance

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Banking or Finance Controlling
• A degree in Finance or Accounting
• The ability to proactively improve controls and streamline processes from both tactical and strategic perspectives
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word. Additional training will be provided for industry-standard and in-house systems
