Senior Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and execute testing activities in line with quality standards and project timelines
• Design, implement and maintain manual and automated test cases
• Develop and improve test automation frameworks using Python and Robot Framework
• Create automated test scenarios using Gherkin or similar approaches
• Execute test cases and report test progress and results in qTest
• Prepare and maintain test documentation and support defect management activities
• Analyse requirements and define appropriate testing approaches and test coverage
• Prepare and manage test data, test environments and service virtualization required for efficient testing
• Perform integration and data validation testing across different file formats and systems
• Support investigation and resolution of production issues
• Collaborate closely with developers, business stakeholders and other technical teams
• Apply testing best practices and continuously improve testing processes and tooling

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software testing experience, including test automation
• Strong practical knowledge of Python
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework
• Experience testing integrations and working with file formats such as XML, CSV and JSON
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server
• Understanding of HTTP protocols and system integrations
• Experience with Git and basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
• Experience with test management and collaboration tools such as qTest, Jira and Confluence
• Good understanding of Agile software development practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently analyse requirements, design test scenarios and identify potential quality risks
• Practical experience with test automation frameworks, including Java-based tools such as JUnit, TestNG or Cucumber

Nice to have:
