Senior Oracle Database Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Oracle Database environments (12c–19c), including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate
• Prepare and configure pre-production environments for Fast-Start Failover (FSFO) implementation
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Data Guard synchronization and replication issues
• Rebuild standby databases when required and ensure high availability across environments
• Create and validate database and PDB-level services
• Provision new databases and support migration of legacy PDBs to new container databases
• Activate, test, and support FSFO configurations, including observer management and failover scenarios
• Perform database patching and upgrade activities
• Execute switchover and failover testing in pre-production environments
• Support Oracle RAC environments and disaster recovery processes
• Configure and maintain Oracle GoldenGate Microservices and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Implement production changes and provide post-deployment support
• Perform Linux/Unix administration tasks related to database operations and performance optimization
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement rollback or recovery plans when necessary
• Manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and collaborate with Oracle Support when required

Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience administering Oracle Databases in enterprise production environments
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database 12c–19c, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
• Extensive experience with Oracle high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong knowledge of Oracle management tools, including RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, OEM, and GoldenGate
• Solid Linux administration skills and understanding of operating system-level processes
• Experience managing and troubleshooting FSFO environments and observer configurations
• Strong understanding of Oracle RAC architecture and performance optimization
• Knowledge of storage technologies supporting enterprise database environments
• Experience with database provisioning, migration, and patch management activities
• Practical understanding of change management, incident management, and production support processes
• Experience handling Oracle Support Service Requests (SRs)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent attention to detail and ownership mindset
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
