Senior Mainframe Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Analyse the current usage of mainframe software and technologies across the organisation
• Collaborate with project teams to define, assess, and design replacement solutions for existing Broadcom/CA tools
• Plan and execute migration activities to target solutions
• Support implementation and rollout of new technologies and processes
• Participate in technical discussions related to mainframe modernization and integration
• Ensure smooth cross-platform communication between mainframe and distributed systems
• Contribute to technical documentation, migration planning, and solution assessments
• Work closely with infrastructure, development, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience working with IBM z/OS environments
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Endevor configuration and administration
• Experience with cross-platform communication and integrations
• Knowledge of mainframe and midrange scripting languages
• Experience with Mainframe Unix System Services (USS)
• Solid understanding of enterprise mainframe environments and operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Very good communication and collaboration skills
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Broadcom/CA tools such as Easytrieve, Telon, JCL Check, CA Spool, and TPX
• Knowledge of mainframe SDLC processes, CI/CD practices, and VSCode integration
• Understanding of midrange tools and their integration with mainframe systems
• Familiarity with mainframe infrastructure components such as: CICS, IMS, Transaction managers, Queue systems, Mainframe databases
• Experience participating in modernization or migration projects within large enterprise environments
