Cloud Native Engineer (OpenStack & Kubernetes)

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain OpenStack environments (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, and other components), including deployment automation using Helm or similar tools
• Develop and enhance Kubernetes Operators and custom controllers using frameworks such as Kubebuilder or Operator SDK, including defining CRDs and managing full application lifecycle within Kubernetes
• Adapt and extend existing OpenStack Helm charts for seamless integration with Kubernetes Operators
• Design and implement solutions aligned with Kubernetes API design best practices, ensuring scalability, upgradeability, configuration management, and high availability of services
• Automate cloud infrastructure management through Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices, ensuring reliable and stable operation of services in Kubernetes environments
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize performance of OpenStack services and cloud-native applications
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment efficiency, and overall system reliability 

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of OpenStack architecture and components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, etc.) and experience deploying OpenStack (preferably using Helm or similar automation)
• Expertise in developing Kubernetes Operators and custom controllers (using frameworks such as Kubebuilder or Operator SDK), including defining CRDs and managing complex application lifecycle via Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests; ability to adapt existing OpenStack Helm charts for operator integration
• Strong grasp of Kubernetes API design principles and best practices for cloud-native application management (scalability, upgrades, config management)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure automation and DevOps practices, ensuring reliable operations of services in a Kubernetes environment
